I think the name of the story is "The Blue Balloon" about a boy who celebrated his bday and there were no blue balloons and he found a blue balloon the following day...I love it! |

There �s a course for preschoolers called Balloons. The theme song goes like this...
I can learn to fly just like a balloon,
reach up to the sky just like a balloon,
be a shining star just like a balloon,
I �ll travel the world, I �ll dance with the moon...
I �m flying, I �m floating,
I �m rising, I �m soaring,
riding in the arms of the wind,

I did it with my advanced preschool group and they loved it - we had a little mime-coreography to it to, and the melody is absolutely lovely...

 This is a nice story from Mick Inkpen full of surprises and humour but I think that colour it �s not the main subjet in the plot.
I love all the stories from this author.
If you need something about colours,, I �ll recomend you "Little blue and little yellow" from Leo Lionni  I �ve prepared a power point adaptation od this story and children love it. |

HI there,
Oxford has a coursebook for preschool: PLAYSCHOOL, The first story is about balloons to teach colors, I think it �s exactly what you need and it goes with a song. Maybe you could get a sample of the coursebook from te publisher.
