Sounds

Hi,

I am teaching "What is this? It is a/an __________". I was thinking of new ways to teach this topic and I thought it could be a good idea to teach it using sounds.
For example I will play the cd with different sonds: animals, babies crying, ring bells, etc; listen to them one by one and ask my students: "What is this?" They have to answer "it is a/an __________".

Have you used this method before?

Any other suggestion?

I hope you like the idea.

Thanks.

Gicela

PS: You can visit  http://www.acoustica.com/sounds.htm in order to download and record different sonds. They are free.
If you know other site, please let me know.
