HELP NATIVE SPEAKERS!

I work as a EFL teacher in Argentina, and my students are having their graduation ceremony (from primary school) this week. Is it correct to say:

Best wishes to Santiago in this new phase of his student s life!

For me, it doesn t sound natural. Do you know a phrase or another way to say this?

Thanks in advance,
Ana

Is this for a teacher or a student? Who is Santiago?
If it s a student it sounds natural to me to say: Best wishes to Santiago in the next phase of his life.  OR I think you could also say: Best wishes to Santiago in Middle School (or whatever the next phase is called in your country :)).
If it s not a student then I am confused on why you are congratulating a teacher for his students graduation.  For all his hard work perhaps?
Hope this helps,
Deanna.

Are you going to be addressing Santiago directly or rather the audience? Personally, I think it is important to stress that he is going to a higher level.

I can suggest:

Best wishes to Santiago in this new stage of learning/education.

Best wishes to you Santiago in this new stage of learning/education.

Best wishes to Santiago in the upcoming stage of (his) education.

Best wishes to Santiago who is going one level up in his eduaction.
