Storytelling

Hello, I need your help as a pre-service teacher of English. I am going to present a story in my class (the fisherman and his wife)and at the end of the story I should do an activity related to do story. I have some ideas but not creative enough. If you have an idea, please share it with me.

it depends on the age of your ss. If they are young, you can give them vocabulary from the story using images for they to colour and learn the words.
e.g. illustrations of a fish, a woman(the wife), the net or the lake where he fishes. then they colour and cut pieces.
After that you could drill vocabullary and if it suits their age, they could try to re-tell the story.

As a warm up activity, you can use craft or colouring activities related with the story. After telling or acting the story by using realia, the students should re-tell story and  do the actions indiviually in company with your guiding. At the end of the story ,you can apply this game. You need  three buckets, fish made from cartons in three different colours and a pipe. Stick the fish to the board.Divide the students in three groups.Their task is  to fill in the buckets with fish as many as they can in a limited time. When the time is up,the group who fishes the most is the winner.i m sure they will have fun a lot.We played it even with the adults and had fun a lot during the college times.

You can also use the song 1,2, 3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive.
Give them a picture to colour ( a fish). Give them material to do a fishing rod ( sticks etc) and at the end do a visit to the river. They fish and they sing.
You can adapt. You can ask them to google issues related with the story, types of fish ( and their country) etc....
