Funny way to teach past simple

Hi,
Here is a funny way to teach past simple:simple funny role play. You let your students use it the way it appeals to them most.Divide the class into 2 groups, taking turn asking the questions and giving the answers. To make it livelier, the group asking the question stands up while the others are sitting down, upon finishing the question they sit down and the others stand up until finishing the whole roleplay, just make it sound like a song:

Where did John live?
                         He lived near the bank
Where did John work?
                         He worked at the bank
When did he work?
He worked all day and he
                         worked all night
At the bank, at the bank, at
                         Great big bank
Where did he study?
                         He studied at the bank
Where did he sleep?
                         He slept at the bank?
Why did he spend all day, all night
All day, all night
At the bank, at the bank?
                          Because he loved his bank
                          more than his wife
And he loved his money more
                          than his life!

I hope you will like it!
My students just looooooved it!
NB:Please dont forget that this role play has been created by Paul Harvey,a teacher trainer at the British Council,he provided us with some drama material at a workshop about teaching drama to use with our students and share with every teacher in need of them.I claim no authorship!

The "song" you act out was written by Carolyn Graham, the author of GrammarChants, JazzChants and SmallTalk.  She s great!  I can imagine one adapting a lot of her stuff this way.  Great idea!  Thanks.
