Connectives or linkers?

Hello!
Could you tell me if there is any difference between "connectives" and "linkers"?
To me, they have the same function. I just would like to confirm if it is right.
Thanks a million in advance!

I know 3 different expressions for the type of word youre talking about:
>>> (sentence) connectors
>>> linking words
>>> linkers
As far as I know they all mean the same.

I have often seen them considered connectors/linking words/linkers... but as a girl, in school, we were told that all of them are called "conjunctions". That is the "proper" term for them.
