SURREALIST ENGLISH POEMS

Hello,
I need for my students  some surrealist English poems (really English, not treanslated from French).
They should be  quite short and easy .
It s  difficult to find something useful surfing the internet, but  perhaps, native speakers may have  English books  with  interesting poems.
I can t buy now books from Amazon because I  should wait too  long to have them.

Thanks in advance,
Sabrina

What about this? It s one of my favorites...

Kenneth Patchen

Writer and Artist, I have protested every War as meaningless falsity through my life and after life. For Miriam, always.

Death Will Amuse Them

A little girl was given a new toy
That needed no winding and would never run down
As even the best of everything will

And all day she played with it
Following happily over the floor of heaven
Until finally it rolled to the feet of God Himself

Who said: "You must give it back now."
Then He pointed down at two soldiers who were staring up
Hopefully

"You see, it is a very popular toy."
And He tossed it down to them
Whose eyes would stare up in earnest when they touched it.

As I was coming down the stair
I met a man who wasn t there
He wasn t there again today
I wish that he would go away!

Thanks for all you replies!
When I say surrealist I mean belonging to surrealism:

How about A Book of Surrealist Games, compiled by Alastair Brotchie (Shambhala,1995)? The Exquisite Corpse is a useful chain game/chain poem, for example. Chain poems make good surrealist texts...
