Need some clarification please.

I would like to upload a couple of worksheets and an activity that can be used with a storybook that I often use.  I thought I d check out what there was on the same theme first. Upon doing so I noticed that most of the worksheets  had images taken from other ESL sites.

I purposely didn t use any of these images as thought this was a big NO NO and checked in the rules and regulations section which seem to confirm my thinking

"Please, don t use pictures taken from other ESL websites or books, even if you add your own exercises".

I spent quite a considerable amount of time trying to find other images (mainly because I m a newbie at creating more elaborate worksheets Embarrassed) but am now not sure whether to upload these or not.

Anyway after this longwinded post, what are your thoughts ????

Thanks in advance

Gina

well first of all, welcome!!!
you re quite right to check the rules and ask for help before uploading a ws Thumbs Up, especially if you re not sure your images have a copyright or not...

to avoid spending too much time looking for cliparts on the internet I bought a CD, but sometimes you can t find everything on a CD...Wacko

if you think the images you found on esl websites were taken from a book, they must have a copyright (even though you can t see it) so you should not use themCry... (by the way, you can "edit" your posts if you forgot to say something, no need to add a new thread in the forum Wink)
anyway, there are plenty of free cliparts websites have a look here:

http://www.phillipmartin.info/clipart/homepage.htm
http://www.arthursclipart.org/index%20comp.htm
aftab57 s timesavers teaching with pictures

however, if you choose to use cliparts from specific websites, remember to acknowledge the sources!
have a nice day!!!
