It �s not in the dictionary, but from a tv series on MTV called "Inbetweeners" - which sts love, btw - it �s about teenagers who are neither "nerds" nor "good-for-nothing" ones.

Inbetweeners or tweeners can also be used to refer to children that are not quite teenagers 11 and 12 year olds. They are between younger children and teenagers.
