Where I grew up, that s called a high chair.

The other chair you described ... I ve heard it called an office chair, a swivel chair and a computer chair.

Hope this helps,

Brian

The pic looks like a high chair and it s used for babies.

An office chair with wheels is exactly that although it may also swivel and tilt. I call the chair I m sitting in right now a computer chair (when it behaves itself).

This is called a high chair. The other one is just an office chair.

Yup, high chair or highchair.

There are a whole host of names for the other chair: office chair, desk chair, computer chair, swivel chair, task chair, etc. One with a rather high back is sometimes called a manager s or executive chair and one without arms is sometimes called a student chair or student task chair.

Up until a decade or so ago, the swivel chair was not the norm, so a desk chair was the standard 4-legged, straight back affair. A chair that swiveled was a swivel chair. However, that s become the standard in offices--even home offices--so office chair or computer chair are probably the most common terms now in the US.

Hope the elaboration is helpful to someone.

Everybody will understand what we are talking about, right.?

And they say I am an english teacher, God , I am not even a teacher of English.
Have a nice week,

It is sometimes referred to as a feeding chair and baby dining chair (just google it and you ll see) but where I come from high chair is the most commonly used word.
