Well, actually, that word is very... Romanian:

In Romanian, "pa" = "bye"
                      "na" = "take", "here you are"
                      "cea" = "that girl"

So panacea means "take a last glimpse at that girl you loved before you say good-bye!"

Pan: The pan flute or pan pipe

-acea: The suffix -acea usually denotes "orders and classes in zoology"

Thus Panacea is used when you want say to someone that an animal is an expert at playing the pan flute.
For example:  Have I ever told you that my dog Fido is a  Panacea?  Instead of saying:
 Have I ever told you that my dog Fido is an expert at playing the pan flute?

There are other words similar to  Panacea but related to other musical instruments. Pianacea, guitaracea, violinacea and so on. These words must only be used when talking about animals.

I m sure many English teachers are acquainted with these words. So your word was pretty easy, dear Marion ;)
