draw at will

Dear ESL teachers,
I need help. In a passage I have to discuss with my students , I ve faced the sentence: " The heated air grew quite easily hotter, as if from some enormous furnace from which it could draw at will."
The paragraph was describing a very hot day. I can t understand the last part "draw at will." I can t also figure out what the pronoun it refers to.
I need your help Thanks in advance

"It" refers to "the heated air", since it is the subject of the sentence. To "draw" means to pull or even to take. "At will" means "As you want" (to will = to want).
So:
The heated air grew quite easily hotter, as if it could pull more heat whenever it wanted from some enormous furnace.
Good enough?
