One more question, please: if you are to teach French to absolute beginners (aged 40), what would you teach them?

I usually take the first class to study the student/s abilities, needs, interests.
Anyway, the first classes aim to handle the basic language and functions.
Setting small objectives class by class helps them to keep the interest even during dull subjects. It is important for them to see their progress clearly.
