the Czech phrase for "have bats in the belfry"
"m�t o kolečko v�c" = "he has one wheel more" (one wheel more than he needs)
(I suppose the phrase was about the metal "wheels" in the old mechanical watches)

stra�� mu ve vě�i = "he has ghosts in the tower"

There is another phrase about a "slow brain"
"kape mu na karbid" = "(water) is dropping on (his) carbide"
This experssion comes from the old mine lamps, consisting of carbide and water. The water was dropping very slowly. So it shows that the person is a very slow thinker.
