SCOBBERLOTCHER was the inventive way the President of Trinity College, Oxford, between 1599 and 1643 described undergraduate college students who "did no hurt, were sober, but went idling about the grove with their hands in their pockets and telling the number of the trees there or so."

 

Thumbs Up Thanks to Mariethe, Marion, Douglas, Gloria, Nika, Valentina and my daughter Roberta who "willingly" contributed with a daffynition. Awfully hard to select one as they were all great but I �ll pass the baton to Marion who wrote that

"a scobberlotcher is someone who slobbers so much scotch his/her speach got impaired....."  Wink I think I know who I �ll call "slobberlotcher" next time he goes out with his friends!
