how can I translate the word  " ABORDAR "in this sentence

Aborda tambm os fatores motivacionais que podem influenciar nos processos de transio e a importncia da compreenso

" It also addresses/ approach  the motivational factors that may influence the transition process and the importance of understanding"

addresses or  approach

I would say "deals with", as I guess it is about a topic of discussion. The term "abordar" translated into English as "approach" has to do with coming closer to a person, at least in one of the Spanish meanings of the verb. We use it with the meaning "deal with a topic, issue", I guess thats what you mean in Portuguese, too.
Hope that helps.

Yes, either "deals with" as ssrl10 said, or "addresses" as you said. Definitely not "approaches".

Hi, Mary! I would also agree with "addresses" as the best translation....
