This is a message for teachers of French. My son needs to know how to say the different levels in the school, for example 1� eso, 2� eso, bachillerato in French.  Thanks.

L �ECOLE MATERNELLE from 3 to 6
 
 
L �ECOLE PRIMAIRE from 6 to 10
 
6 years old : is COURS PREPARATOIRE
7 is COURS ELEMENTAIRE 1�re ANNEE
8 is COURS ELEMENTAIRE 2�me ANNEE
9 is COURS MOYEN 1�re ANNEE
10 is COURS MOYEN 2�me ANNEE
 
 
THEN from 11 to 14 there is LE COLLEGE
 
11 years old is : LA SIXIEME (6�me)
12 is LA CINQUIEME (5�me)
13 is LA QUATRIEME (4�me)
14 is LA TROISIEME (3�me)
 
 
THEN from 15 to 18  there is LE LYCEE
 
15 years old is : LA SECONDE (2nde)
16 years old is : LA PREMIERE (1�re)
17 years old is the start of : LA TERMINALE (Term)
 
You sit for the last examination of the secondary school at 18 and it is called LE BACCALAUREAT.
 
 
THEN there is the university.
