I am on the lookout for songs that will introduce my students and me to American history

I know that I can use

Tracy Chapman �s Talking about Revolution
Bob Dylan �s Hurricane or/ and Blowing in the Wind
Bruce Springsteen Born in the USA

Any other songs/ protest songs that have to do with the USA you may think of?

Hi Jarek
You don �t say how old your students are. If they �re old enough to try something a bit harsh you can start with anything by Phil Ochs. Maybe you can listen to these. They aren �t really history but they do refer to US in the 60s and onward.

My students go to lower-secondary school (8-9-10 year) so they are 13/14/15 years old respectively
