PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO REWRITE THE SENTENCE:

1/"Because her father was there, we said nothing about it."

->Because of her father being there, we said ..........

or ->Because of her father, we said............................

2/"He couldn�t go to school because he was very poor"

->Because of being very poor, he couldn´t go to school.

or ->Because of his poorness/ poverty, he couldn�t go to school.

I would use gerund in both cases, that is Because of her father being there and Because of being very poor. But to my mind, it would sound better without "Because of".

For the first sentence you can say:
Because of/due to her father �s presence, we said nothing about it.
For the second sentence, I think you can say:
He couldn �t go to school because of/due to his poverty.
