Help with removing Smart Fortress

Help, does anyone know how to remove the Smart Fortress fake security program? It �s driving me nuts. I �ve done a scan with Avast and it �s removed stuff but not Smart Fortress. A website suggested getting Spyhunter on the case, I did a scan and then when I went to remove the malware it then said you have to pay for removal service! Wish they �d bloomin well told me before!
I �m not super tech savvy so I need a simple and free fix to this asap, my computer is barely working!!

after that you should run a scan with malwarebytes, download link here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
