Which variant is correct? 
in 2001 - in two thousand one
             - in two thousand and one
    or      - in twenty ou 1
How do we read 1900(year) - in one thousand nine hundred or in nineteen hundred
Which variant is more frequently used?

It �s like this:

- in two thousand one (American English)
- in two thousand and one (British English)

1900 is read as nineteen hundred. We don �t say "one thousand nine hundred" for the year 1900 at all.
