Videos about Scotland

Hello everyone!

Have you heard of or seen a video about Scotland that I could use to "illustrate" all the clichs of this wonderful country? I ve been looking for youtube videos but nothing interesting came up eventually.

Thanks for your help!

It s difficult to know where to begin, Veronique. There s just so much available (on YouTube especially) - and, of course, it depends on what you mean by clich . The usual ones are a bit Tintin-ish: tartans and plaids, kilts and sporrans, castles and ghosts, lochs and bens, whisky and golf etc etc. The sort of thing you might find here, for example:

But you have to bear in mind that it s also a small country which has contributed so much to the arts and sciences for so long:

...and more, much more.

I haven t checked the links other colleagues have posted, but if I m introducing Scotland, I always start off with Nessie, the Loch Ness monster. There s plenty of youtube clips and it never fails to grab their attention.
