Help

Hello everybody,

Can someone help me with the following sentence? Its correct if I say:

Rain let me down or

Rain brings me down

Or do you know an idiom or expression related to sadness? I want to say that rain makes me sad.

Something else, is the expression let your hair down still used? Or its old fashion.

Thanks in advanced

Rain gets me down , is better. Let down means to fail to deliver on a  promise.

Let your hair down is still used.
