I never quite realized just how fantastic many of the worksheet are.
 
 
I�m on leave and am preparing for a 10 day winter
English program I�ll be co-hosting next week.  Most of the students
are primary or junior middle school level so I�ve been �diligently�
(nice sentiment :~] ), looking for material amongst our members contributions. I�m dumb struck. I have seen, but never had a close
look at the worksheets uploaded by our members, that�s because,
mostly they�re for a different level / age group. Well I must say,
�I�m humbled to be in the company of such dedicated and caring
people�. I�ve always thought that I was pretty innovative and original
as far as teaching goes. I now realise that I�m way, way off the mark.
Oh dear, another News Years resolution.

Hi Dennis!

Hey - you can be a fantastic teacher without the use of worksheets!
Many teachers are blessed by having good text books at their schools, which covers
a lot of ground.  I know I do. I use and make worksheets as extra materials, either because my students need extra practice or because they are fun.
You can also be an inspiring teacher just by the way you teach. Worksheets could never replace a good teacher.
by the way - there are lots and lots of WS for elementary/middle school here. In fact advanced materials are, I would guess, in the minority.

Thanks for the kind words. I was actually referring to the dedication, commitment, care and compassion of the majority of our members as shown by the meticulousness in the preparation of their teaching materials.
