Are these correct?

The rain barrel ( or rain water tank) was overloaded.

(I was trying to say there s too much water in the tank that it starts to spill out and perhaps explode)

She hates it when the trees are cut to build a city

( my aim is to put city at the end so it rhymes with the next end word "dirty", I am trying to say that people cut trees to make ways for urbanization)

She is always upset when rivers, oceans and lakes get dirty

( means they are contaminated or polluted but I want it to rhyme with the word "city" so I decided to put dirty there)

The water tank fell and the water flooded her house

( obviously, the water from the rainwater tank)

I know it sounds ridiculous but please check the accuracy of these sentences and at the same time I want to maintain the two sentences that end with syllables "ty in order to make it rhyme together.

OK, for the first one, you might say the tank "overflowed"
In the second one you could say "She hates it when they clear the land to build a city."

In the third one, maybe "It always upsets her to see rivers, oceans and lakes so dirty."

For the fourth one, how about "The water tank burst and flooded the house."

Maybe someone has some better ideas.

Hope that helps,
Esther

The water tank could be just full to the top or full to capacity, which would also rhyme with dirty and city.

Dirty and city don t really rhyme if you ask me - sorry!

Gritty and city or dirty and thirty!

So the water butt (or rain water barrel) overflowed,

She hates it when trees are felled to build a city,
She gets really upset when rivers and lakes get dirty and gritty,

The water butt fell over and flooded the house.

(the water tank makes me think of the tank that holds the water in the house, usually in the attic)

Hope that helps
Cindy
