Is it correct?

Hi dear teachers!

Is it correct to say "reading assessment"? Is "reading evaluation" more correct?

Have a great wekkend Smile and thanks for your help.

Both terms are fine. Which you use depends on which point of the term you check the reading. I usually use "assessment" at the beginning of the semester when I don t know much about the students abilities and "evaluation" at the end when I want to see how far they ve come.

Moody is right and I use those two words in pretty much the same context. I think that in education circles, many people are starting to use the term "assessment" a little more. I suppose it sounds newer and flashier, but like Moody said, they are both fine. --Matt
