I have a question

Lately, I read in a passage the phrase " seasoned journalists" .  After a while , I knew that it means experienced journalists . I want your explanations if they are  different from the conclusion I reached. I also need to know if I can use the word " seasoned " meaning " experienced" with other professions like teachers for example.

Thank you

There is also the more general expression "seasoned professional", and it could be used with specific professions, but it isn t common. It wouldn t sound strange, though.

Personally, I dont use this expression nor find it commonly used
