I like nature or the nature?

If you speak about your likes in general,don �t use �the �.
I like nature .
ex:
I like cats(general) but I like the Siamese cats(and not the Angora or the European..)
I hope it helps.

Actually, Titine, that isn �t quite right. It would also be "I like Siamese cats" (without "the"), because we still aren �t talking about specific cats, just a breed.
 
I like cats.
I like cars.
I like sports cars.
I like Honda Civics.
I like nature.
I like elm trees.
I don �t like poison ivy.
 
I especially don �t like the poison ivy in my backyard.
I like the cat next door.
I like my car.
I don �t like any of the cars in that lot.
