I �ve used some clips: Madness (It must be love) and noted the instruments they use(piano, guitar, bass guitar, saxophone). Also The Beatles and their Come Together, which happened to be on a commercial at the time. 
I added The Great Song of Indiference by Bob Geldof to mention folk music.
With these we read less from the book and had more "action"
