"to be on one �s 31" means "to be very elegant"
"to be the fly of the wagon" means "to be a very boring and annoying person wanting to deal with everything"
"to have a tooth against someone" means "not to like someone"
"to be a billiards ball" means "to be bald"
"to be deaf as a jar" means "able to hear nothing"
-to have a spider on the ceiling" = "to have bats in the belfry"
"to laugh like a whale" = "to laugh one �s head off"
"to be stamped" = "to be cracked"
"to be a wordsmill" = "to be a chatterbox"
