Hello my dear friends,
I�m just browsing through a placement test and I got to this question:

�Could I have the sugar, please?�
� �____.�
� �Thanks.�


a Here you are    b Here it is    c Please

I�m sure the correct answer is a) Here you are. It is a standard "textbook" phrase and the answer key says only a) is correct. But I�d like to know if the option b) Here it is  is also possible. I would say so. If I can remember well, I heard it many times in Britain. And what about you and the option b)?
