Wow! What a great response to the latest Daffynition (formerly "WOD") competition. It was a very tough call and I am very thankful to all who put so much thought and effort into their answers. As Marion (nice to see you back) mentioned, it �s great to see the WOD back. But, enough talk... The winner is: Spinney! His definition: This is a verb first coined by leading feminist intellectual Germaine Greer, in her ground-breaking book, The Female Enoch. It means to make a person sexist and ignorant by perpetuating gender stereotypes through the education system. The real definition: impignorate: to pledge, pawn or mortgage. He impignorated his television to buy some cigarettes. Cheers, Douglas
