Analyzing song lyrics

Dear friends Can anyone help me with a worsheet, ppt or link to use with my advanced students? I want to have class about analysing song lyrics, but most of the worksheets i find are either for lower level students or just for filling in blanks or choosing the right word. I think these are great activities but my aim this time is to find exercises which allow my secondary students to understand and discuss the meanings of some songs. I hope someone can help me. Thanks a lot!!!! Maria Isabel |

Hi, how are you? Well I understaand your feeling. It s true that it is always the same type of exercises, like filling the blanks. I know some songs that can make your students think and discuss about their meanings. But I will need a couple of days to prepare you an exercise. If you still want, let me know so I start with it and I will post it on Friday, but you will be able to download it on Saturday. However, I hope you get what you want! Thanx, |

"Delilah" by Tom Jones for gender violence against women is great. Or "Luka" by Suzanne Vega for child abuse. |
