Idioms connected to lockdown
|
Hi People! I was wondering, while many of us are in quarantine, are there any idiomatic expressions or phrasal verbs that you can think of? I havent got much to do but dream up worksheets at the moment so might as well pick your brains. So far, I have, "cooped up, lockdown, climbing the walls, snug as a bug in a rug." Does anybody have anything to add to this? Be safe! Dale |

Bunkering down is what first comes to mind Lockdown is the official term Shutting shop Will be driven crazy, driven up the wall, driven around the bend For introverts, its pure bliss, and for extroverts, sheer hell My older brother, who loves his isolation from his crazy family by going to the farm in the middle of nowhere every weekend to feed the animals and do work (staying in his tent, with barely any amenities) now calls it splendid isolation - hes in his element! |
