Don�t worry I am also a novice teacher and understand your concerns..This year will be my second year in teaching.Last year I started with using vocabulary boxes in classes.Ss everyday learned a new word,they wrote them on a piece of paper and put them in the boxes.We played lots of games,mostly games like silent films..Because they were group games,it promoted lots of interest,excitement,involvement and competition. At first my SS found it difficult to talk but in time while they were learning new words they also improved their speaking skills.I can advise you doing this.It really works.Hope your SS enjoy and lots of successto you  in your career..
