Thanks a lot, all of you. I knew the word catapult, but I thought it was used just for bigger devices, not this kind. The slingshot is new for me.
Thanks a lot, everyone, yuo are always round the corner.

I am pretty sure that a catapult is much much bigger/ won t fit in a pocket and was used to knock down walls with huge rocks or shoot stuff over walls.    You need a few men to move it.

Hi, eng789
Well, it seems that you agree with me, I also had that idea, but I didn t know what word should I use referring to this picture; so, let s wait for some more opinions. Thanks a lot.

Yes slingshot although I ve used just "sling" before (back in the days when I had one)

Oh my dear wolfy!!! it could be risky to say that you used to have one!!!! WinkI think that you shouldn t mention it to your students, some may not even know that the "sling" ever existed!!! Cool they may look for the "wires" and the "chip" somewhere in the sling!!!

Do you know that some educators engaged in a research  study asked a group of primary school students to draw a chicken.

So they daw a roasted chicken  ....

instead of a live one...

The reason: they had never seen a live chicken!!!!!
