MSN, chat, email, Internet, computer games….

How do you call these activities together? I would need one expression.

I check my emails.

I write emails.

I play computer games.

I surf on the Internet.

I chat on the Internet.

I search something on the Internet.
I check
my Facebook account.
I read my Facebook account.
I chat with my friends on MSN.

I want to write about my students´ daily routine and we (Hungarians) use one word to describe these activities .

Thanks for your answers  in advance.

Helena

PS Are my last 3 sentences correct?

I spend time online... ?

I surf the Internet (not on the Internet)
I read my Facebook messages (you don t read the account, do you?)

I would call them collocations regarding ICT. You have more: scan a Web, apart from seach the Net, write /send/delete/edit an email, attach a document/photo, debug a computer, log in/out your email account, and so on.

I would call them "things I can do with my computer." You should maybe add " I find great worksheets" to the list.Big smile

I agree with Helena2009 and would also define all those activities together with a single word: surf

A modern pastime: computer activities

Computer pastimes

Virtual pastimes

Fun Stuff on the computer

What do we do on the computer?

What can you do on your computer ? I can...

Enjoy your Sunday!!!!

I have seen funny phrases like mouse potato or screenager .
I suppose you want to have the English equivalent for szmtgpezni (this is the Hungarian phrase) but I m afraid you should stick to play PC games because this is what actually most teenagers do on their PC.
