Dear colleagues, when we, for example, describe some pictures can we say "on picture 1 we can see..." or we can only use preposition in - "in picture one we can see..." ?
It seems to me that I �ve seen both used before but maybe I �m wrong :) Thanks in advance! Hug

Choosing between �on � and �in �, with the verb �see � and the noun �picture � we can only use the preposition �in �, so there is no place for on here. I think you heard the preposition �on � with the noun �picture � used with other verbs.

We can use �on � with the noun �picture � along with other verbs to express other meanings, for example we can say:
 
- focus on picture 1
 
- comment on picture 1
 
- remark on picture 1
 
- work on picture 1
 
- place sth on picture 1 ... etc.
