hello

I have one question more about new sentence

What s wrong with this one ?

Last summer we were often sunbathing on the beach.

This is a regular action (often) and for such actions in the past we use Past Simple.

The problem would be skin cancer.  Wink

I would probably say:

Last summer we often went sunbathing at the beach.

We don t usually use continuous with often. Often indicates a regular action and it is Past Simple in this very case. We can use Continuous with constantly, always when we mean repeated annoying actions:

You re constantly chatting on the phone.

He is always complaning about everything.
