Hustle & Flow - suitable movie for an English lesson?

Hi!

I am teaching one class whose students have already completed all exams in English. For the remaining couple of lessons, I agreed to watch some movies with them (in English, of course Smile). One of them suggested Hustle & Flow . Just wondering if any of you know it, or have even watched it in class? Is it suitable for students aged 16+? Or does it contain too much violence or bad language?

I know that it is about pimps and street life, etc, but it seems to have a good ending. I can t really spare the time at the moment to watch the movie myself at home, so if any of you have recommendations, this would be great.

Thanks for your help!

Andrea

This might help.

Scroll down you can read the plot and you can see the R ratings that different countries have given it. I don t know the ages of your students but the warning it gives is:
Rated R for sex and drug content, pervasive language and some violence.

This site is great for checking out movies!
