Summer Holidays Travelling Brainstormer+ teaching ideas
It´s a brainstormer ws you can use as a warm-up when talking about going somewhere in summer.Good for revising vocabulary. You can even get creative and offer your ss to think of dream destinations(other planets or fantasy lands from favourite books for example)If you chose real places for the activities, you will find the videos with famous landmarks from YouTube really handy

- you could use them as a warm up (have your ss guess the names of the landmarks and the names of the places and the countries where they are located; or see how many they could remember, ask them to write their names down and make it a memory competition, the student with the most names wins :). Then use this ws to brainstorm places they would like to visit, things to take, ways to get there and things to do and to see. Follow with a speaking activity using a model: This summer I would like to visit... I will need/take .... I will travel by ... When I get there I will see ... , visit the famous... and (do) ...
You could finish the lesson with a writing activity asking the ss to write down what they´ve just spoken about. Get creative and engage your students in speaking about the topic they all enjoy so much -- summer holidays!
