IELTS Vocabulary Lists

I have been searching for IELTS vocabulary lists, ebooks, and other printable materials. I am wondering, would the 300 IELTS Vocabulary List or the 1000+ IELTS Synonyms List be too much for students? Or should I focus on shorter vocabulary lists for more effective learning?

Help with grammar :)

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering which of the pieces below is grammatically correct.

A. Yesterday, one hundred people took part in the survey. 12% of the surveyed selected the option Team sports.

B. Yesterday, one hundred people took part in the survey. 12% of those surveyed selected the option Team sports.

C. Yesterday, one hundred people took part in the survey. 12% of the participants surveyed selected the option Team sports.

D. Yesterday, one hundred people took part in the survey. 12% of the surveyed participants selected the option Team sports.

For me, B - D sound fine, but A is somewhat weird as 12% of the surveyed is an incomplete phrase. Whats your take on it?

Thank you so much in advance!

Solution to Teacher Work Overload: NO SLEEP!

Teachers around the country have complained that there aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the things they need to do: lesson planning, marking homework, entering grades, answering emails, etc. One teacher in Illinois has a solution: “I don’t sleep,” he says. “If I don’t sleep, that gives me enough time to do all the things I need to do. It’s great!”

No sleep you ask. Is that healthy? Doctors recommend 7 - 9 hours of sleep per night. Teacher Willa Johnson counters this. “I find that stress is worse than no sleep. If I don’t finish my work, I feel stressed. By not sleeping, I feel more relaxed because all my work gets done. It’s really the best option for me.”

We interviewed dozens of teachers in different school districts and we found many are in agreement. “Sleep is for wimps.” chuckles a teacher in Oregon. “We just have to learn to live without it.”

So, put on some loud music and grab your favorite energy drink. Get ready for a night of finishing up all your work so that you can breathe easy the next day.

Oh, and Happy April Fool’s Day!

Does anyone have (know) a shortened version of The Sound of Music?

Hi, I am reading the book Wonder with my kids in class.
Towards the end of the book, the main characters are watching the musical The sound of Music.
Only a few of my students had ever heard of the movie. I thought it might be cool to have them watch it, but I have only 135 minutes (max) at my disposal. The original movie is almost 3 hours long. Does anyone here know of a shortened version I could show in class (three 45 minute lessons)?

Otherwise, there was apparently an edited version aired on television that dropped about 30 minutes, but I cant find it anywhere. (This was my mothers favorite movie)

It occured to me 2 or 3 times.

The only way to fix this problem is to send 1 or 2 or 3 or ... mails to [email protected]
You are right : the answer is not immediate very often. But it comes.
So the only way for you is to try and try again sending SOS and be very patient.

Sorry for that. But as far as I am concerned I had to stay several months without the access to the site.

 The correct sentence would be:

👉 "Here comes the tiger with its orange and wide stripes."

Or, if you meant to describe the stripes differently:

👉 "Here comes the tiger with its wide orange stripes."

inactive internet provider - can t access my account and my worksheets

Hi! I have been a member of ESL printables for many years. I signed up with an account giving my email address at the time. Our internet provider in Cyprus - ending in spidernet.com.cy has stopped operating so I created other email addresses. I cannot access my work on ESL printables as I forgot the password I used to have and I cannot reset my password as the email address I used to register is no longer working. Any ideas how I can access my own work?
