I have some classes with 20 students and others with 30. Please send me a private message if you are interested. Thks . Teacher Grasi

a family of 5: people assume parents and 3 children
a 5-child family or a family of 7: 5 children

So yes, a five-child family is correct to say.

COMPARISON WITH NEARLY

Hi all,

I´ve got a question regarding NEARLY in comparisons.

in the following sentence, what should I use "nearly" or "not nearly"?

"Statistically earthquakes are a bit more dangerous than wildfires" NEARLY

"Statistically wildfires are  .......................as dangerous as earthquakes"

To rephrase the sentence I´ve written:

"Statistically, wildfires are NOT NEARLY as dangerous as earthquakes" but the key says my try is wrong. the correct rephrased sentence is

"Statistically, wildfires are NEARLY as dangerous as earthquakes".

What do you think?

Hello Once Again from a Long, but not Lost Member!

Hello everybody,

Quite possibly, a few of you might remember me - or not lol, but for many of you, I am probably just a name among the many whose worksheets you have, perhaps, downloaded in the past.
In short, I used to be quite active on the site.  However, I was taken down other paths in life and stopped doing ESL work. That said, I never really stopped loving creating ESL material and other useful worksheets and activities. (It turns out my passion was just placed on hiatus until I could return to it...  although it was quite a long hiatus admittedly! lol)

This message today is partly to say hi once again, and introduce myself to everyone on the site, or more specifically, to reintroduce myself to a place I once called home.

Its also to inform people that I am back and any worksheets that have been uploaded are actually mine, they are not stolen or "borrowed", and that Im also posting my worksheets on another sister website that many of you are probably members of as well.

That said, I simply want to say I look forward to interacting more often, chatting, and contributing more worksheets and other activities in the near future.

Big hugs to everybody, and Merry Christmas in advance since the big day is just under two weeks and I know life can be hectic at this time of year!

Hello everybody,
I didnt disappear! With Christmas and everything I just got extremely busy! Not to mention that I have a few crazy things going on in my life lately. Lets just say, New Year, New Life, and a lot of moving pieces to go with it!

And Id like to give a personal hug to my sister from another mother Olinda and the lovely ladybug, Victoria!
I will be off and on this site every so often, but Im still around, it just might take a few days to answer any questions or messages people might send me.

Hugs!
