GEORGE MICHAEL - LYRICS WSS
This is an updated collection of wss based on George Michaels lyrics to I Cant Make You Love Me, Faith and Freedom(and Freedom 90), with tasks for the lyrics and brief tasks for after listening. His songs are great for teenagers and adults, and you can show them the videos if you can. Theres even a task to compare his Freedom 90 lyrics and Lady ...

the Mom song
I loved doing this with my students. It can be used with the video on You Tube with a woman singing this in an opera fashion to William Tell Ouverture. It concerns family, it is perfect for teenagers, pure grammar in disguise...It is pure joy to listen to her and teenagers really get a kick out of it...

WHO IS WHO - match pictures and text
No, dont worry - its not just pictures!!! This is a 3-pager; the 1st page are pics, the 2nd page text cards with descriptions of these kids, and the 3rd page a b&w ws with a fill-in task based on the basic descriptions of these kids. Its meant to be used for a matching game, reading practice and writing practice for preschool and elementary kids...

INKHEART - who said what?
This is another one of my wss for the movie Inkheart - beautiful movie and a most wonderful book - a father who can read stories aloud and make things from the fantasy world come to ours... But, as always, theres a price to pay! I did it with sts from 8-16 and they all loved it. This particular wss is about who said what - which I usually play as ...

pink-sober-lyrics and discussion
Fascinating woman, Pink, and a very interesting song! Kids are usually surprised when we read the lyrics through - they think its about something else and they never expect serious things from her(funny how image influences us!). Anyway, they have to fix spelling in the song, and afterwards there are some discussion questions about addiction in ge...

NATASHA BEDINGFIELD - lyrics detectives
This is a ws based on listening to Natasha Bedingfields 2 songs. Its a fill-in and a synonyms fill-in, and her songs are not bad listening practice, because she sings very clearly and kids (esp teenagers) like the songs. I even used Soulmate as a dictation later on and they liked doing it like that (although, for a singing dictation, I would alw...

Arthur and the Minimoys
This is a follow-up worksheet for the movie/cartoon Arthur and the Minimoys. It strengthens vocabulary, and reading and writing skills. My students especially love the fact that the pictures are black-and-white, because they love to colour them later on. Enjoy!

baby, baby, its a wild world
I just heard this song on the radio and it was irresistible. Ive prepared a worksheet with song lyrics (jumbled), and idioms and synonyms with wild. Im going to use it with my advanced students, to take a lighter turn on the topic of safety in cities weve done recently. Hope you find it useful...

INKHEART - follow-up summary and writing
This is another ws to do as follow-up for the movie Inkheart. Sts need to find mistakes in the movie summary and correct them, and then answer some personal questions in connection to the story. The story itself is wonderful and can be combined with all three beautiful books. Btw, what or who would you bring from the world of fiction to the real wo...

STARDUST - who said what?
Here is another one of my Stardust wss. This one deals with quotes from the movie with two corresponding reading-writing tasks. My sts love doing who said what as follow-up, we play it as guessing games in teams, and it really helps vocabulary retention, even their intonation of sentences.
