I always have breakfast before going to school
This pictionary is a good "excuse" to introduce the importance of having breakfast. Too many children dont have any because its to early and they dont feel like eating. I sometimes let them have breakfast as soon as they come to school and they enjoy it.

Can all birds fly?
This worksheet is for a CLIL lesson. Together with the science teacher let the children find information about birds, let them "surf the web" or browse books. Children love the world of nature.

Thats what I need for school
Ill have classes with 5-6 year old children during the next school year. I generally teach English using a lot of images, posters, toys, etc. and for this reason Im preparing pictionaries to scatter all around the classroom. This ws is the first in a series. The pictures are all public domain.

Im leaving on a jetplane
After the children have memorized the means of transportation vocabulary, I help them to be aware of distances. I let them use a map of the town to locate the places they want to reach and we discuss if it is better to use their bikes or the bus. We do the same with long distances: train, ship or plane? The children love this activity.

Leprechaun Time
This is a "listen and do" activity meant for very young children.

Call a spade a spade!
"Call a spade a spade" is the pictionary I gave my very young school children to learn as summer homework. Children usually name each item of a category, but I think its better for them to learn the group name they belong to. I hope that they put clothes in their suitcases and not t-shirt, trousers, shorts, caps... Enjoy!

Do you want to play with me?
This is the last pictionary I upload of this series, I promise!
When presenting this lesson, I do not miss the opportunity to talk with my young students on this topic. I say that they can have fun with simpler games than video games and the like.

Numbers 21 to 30
My little ones at school are learning "big numbers" and I told them that they are like trees and leaves: tens are the trunks and units are the leaves! They liked the idea very much.
Sorry, I had to scan my worksheet because, everytime I tried to upload it, the drawings were all messed up. Thank you.
