Topics for Discussion
I use this set of topics at the beginning of every class.
One student picks a card from the envelope, reads it out and the students say something about it. I usually begin giving my own opinion about the topic to trigger the discussion.
You can encourage them to say "I agree/I don�t agree with...", "I think...", "In my opinion...", etc.
