Oral drills for/since
Another oral drill practising for & since. The second drill is a bit more difficult but the students love it - needs a lot of concentration! For example teacher says: �I�ve been here for one year�, then says �he�. Students have to change the sentence using the word �he� and making any changes necessary = �He�s been here for one year� and so on.....

Oral drills - say/tell
More oral drills this time to practise the verbs say & tell. Once again try to do this verbally (around the class or one-to-one) without letting the students see the situations. You could give out the copies once the exercise is done. All depends on their level. Have fun !

Oral drill - frequency adverbs
There are two substitution drills : Students have to change the sentences using only the words you give � for example � I never go to the cinema � he � he never goes to the cinema, making all the changes necessary. Finishing off with an invention drill: Teacher prompts with �Champagne�,student replies : I (never, often ) drink champagne for thems...

Oral drill - how much/very little - how many/very few
Don�t show the students the answers! Example you say: "Alfred smoked only 3 cigars last week." and students must answer: 1.with a question: "how many" and then 2. with the answer: "very few". Have fun!
