Conversation Card: Using Was & Were
Cut card into halves. Ss practice Was & Were while talking about their own experience. A technique I use for conversation practice like this is that Ss have 3 minutes to talk with their partner, then switch partners and do it again a few times until theyve had enough opportunity to talk.

Take a vote! Class Superlatives
At the end of a superlatives unit, give your class this ballot. They vote for their classmates based on the superlatives. My students names are on the ballot now, so you should delete them and include your own students names. After all students have submitted a ballot, I tally the results and award certificates. Lots of fun!
