I have made this cards for pre-intermediate students to be able to use different tenses when speaking. Each card is aimed at a different topic such as a job, work, family, holiday, so the students practise tenses and develop their speaking fluency at the same time.

Headway elementary final test
This is a end-of-year test to test elementary students on Headway elementary Units 10-14. It includes grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and a listening section. It tests for example tenses, adverbs and adjectives, weather vocabulary, present continuous, going to future, present perfect, making suggestions, giving directions etc.

Don�t say it! Sports
Another set of Don�t say it cards, this time aimed at sports. Students should describe the sport in their card without saying the words on the card. Some vocabulyry could be new to some students so the cards can be also used as an introduction to a lesson focused on sports.

An activity is aimed at speaking practice teaching students not to be afraid of speaking if they don�t know the right word. The goal is to speak about the person or thing in the picture not using the "forbidden" words given. One student explains what s/he has in their picture and the others should guess it.

The aim is to speak about the thing in the picture without using the words given so as the other students can guess what word is being explained.

Another Don�t say it cards which make a good speaking practice aimed at vocabulary and things which you can find at many workplaces. It also deals with relative clauses - who, which, that. Cut up the cards and have students expain the word in the picture without saying the forbidden words given (most frequent)on each card.
