Reading lesson going along with poem "My moccassins have not walked". I found my students really liked this poem because it brought back memories from their home countries that they wanted to share.

Who are my teachers?
Students are required to ask their teachers basic questions, then use info obtained to create an oral presentation. Used after teaching basic vocabulary on weather, seasons, and basic greetings. Also used AFTER teaching how to create a PowerPoint presentation. I used this as an oral exam.

Talking about sports
I used this activity with my unit on verbs taking gerunds and those taking infinitives. I focused the unit on sports vocabulary. I had ALREADY talked to them about gerunds and infinitives, and used this activity as a task-based activity to get them talking and writing using verbs that followed the patterns taught.
